Job Overview

As a Sourcing & Procurement Specialist at Paxxi, you will play a critical role in our supply chain operations. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, evaluate, and engage with suppliers that meet our quality standards and cost requirements. You will be instrumental in negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring that our inventory meets the demand. Your role will involve working closely with the product development and operations teams to ensure the timely and efficient procurement of products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Identification and Evaluation
    • Identify potential suppliers for products and any materials needed for Paxxi’s product lines.
    • Conduct thorough evaluations of suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and delivery timelines.
    • Develop and maintain a database of preferred suppliers.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure the best value for Paxxi.
    • Draft and manage supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
    • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all agreements are legally sound and protect Paxxi’s interests.
  • Vendor Relationship Management
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring clear communication and partnership.
    • Conduct regular reviews with suppliers to discuss performance, address issues, and identify areas for improvement.
    • Work with vendors to resolve any disputes or discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Procurement Strategy and Execution
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with Paxxi’s business objectives and growth plans.
    • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from purchase order creation to delivery and payment.
    • Monitor market trends and industry developments to make informed procurement decisions.
  • Inventory Management
    • Coordinate with the inventory management team to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
    • Forecast demand for products and materials to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
    • Implement strategies to reduce lead times and improve the overall efficiency of the supply chain.
  • Cost Management and Optimization
    • Analyze cost structures and seek opportunities for cost savings without compromising on quality.
    • Implement cost control measures and track procurement expenses against budget.
    • Report on cost-saving initiatives and their impact on the company’s bottom line.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure that all sourced products meet Paxxi’s quality standards.
    • Conduct regular audits of supplier to verify compliance with quality requirements.
    • Address any quality issues with suppliers and implement corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the home decor, furniture, or lighting industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote setting.
  • Knowledge of market trends and industry best practices.
